Reverend Ruben Velasco

He is an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church with an extensive background in ministry and education. Born in Bogota, Colombia, he has been a South Florida resident since childhood, completing his education at Miami Jackson Senior High and North Miami Senior High. Ruben holds a Master of Divinity Degree from Asbury Theological Seminary and has dedicated over 27 years to ministry, including roles as Senior Pastor of Key West United Methodist Church, Youth Pastor at Miami Shores Presbyterian Church, and service at other Methodist churches. Additionally, he actively participates in leadership roles within the United Methodist Church and serves as Chairman of both the South East District Leadership Committee and the Epworth Senior Community Fund. Ruben's life journey reflects his unwavering commitment to faith, service, and leadership, leaving an enduring impact on those he ministers to and his broader community.
